It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

Any Senator, no matter the party, should be voted out of office if they don’t vote to extend the ACA credit. Caving Democrats should be ousted. This is the only leverage they have and they better grow a ruthless backbone if they’re going to play in the big leagues.

History shows, we are NEVER going to change conservative minds. They’ll never feel remorse. But decent people outnumber them, especially now. We just have to act in whatever way we can to progress humanity towards compassion, truth, equality, and wisdom. Survive. But don’t lose your humanity.

This one really hurts. The abject cruelty. Just doing their jobs. A family and community torn apart so conservatives can human/sexual traffic POC to other countries. A death sentence. A daughter who never sees her mother again. This is a shameful period in American history. We will not forget.
