I have to say, as a man with two mothers, I find the derisive deployment of language like "lesbian" and "lover" by those on the far right who are trying to justify Renee Good's death particularly disgusting and dehumanizing. These women. They are wives. They are a family. That's it.

Exhausted economist technical rant: every time someone talks about a GPU or TPU or other unit of compute, their comparisons are trash unless normalized by BOTH sticker price for the chip AND energy consumption of the chip. Chip cost = fixed; energy = marginal cost.

Labor’s Measuring What Matters is a worthy goal – but one that has utterly failed to live up to its promise | Greg Jericho
The wellbeing framework has become little more than a data dump – but at least it highlights how little stock we should put in productivity figures

For many years Open Australia Foundation ran electionleaflets.org.au

It takes time and dedication to run projects.

We want to know: *Should @oaf.org.au continue to put resources into providing this service?*
Unfortunately electionleaflets.org.au is down.

It does sort of still exist in the Trove Pandora archive: webarchive.nla.gov.au/awa/20100723...

But it's clunky.

It's not been active for many many years. So, is this something you lot care about? Or should we just allow to sunset?
