I have seen people on this very website refer to this as Alan Partridge-esque, and having seen it to myself, I do now believe those people, as David Lynch said, should fix their hearts or die.

Few years ago, Brian Cox posted a left bashing take about how u should have friends across the political spectrum, to justify being mates with tories (or words to that effect). When someone astutely asked how many fascists he was friends with, then, he blocked them.

“Europe faces an existential choice: build genuine technological sovereignty now, or accept governance by platforms whose architects view democracy as an obsolete operating system.”

Labour needs to wake up (and treat Palantir like the plague).
Silicon Valley’s Authoritarian Tech Right is not theorizing this world. They are already building it. The pipelines are operational. The feedback loops are functioning. The sovereignty transfers are completing.

But "nobody tells us what to write", say the journalists who remain.

Well no. You can just see who still has a job and who gets a promotion, and who doesn't get their contracts renewed.
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

An incredible number of people on this website seem to think Russia being extremely bad and malignant will somehow mitigate the British government being totally disorganised and deeply unpopular, and that it will rectify decades of astonishingly corrupt and idiotic military procurement. It will not!
Do we think the British state is robust enough to survive an actual, for real getting-bombed war with conscription and so on? I really doubt it is: it’d be Ottoman Empire scenes by the end of year one.
