Renee Nicole Good is the one whose reputation should be protected, whose death should be marked by flags across the country being lowered to half-staff, who should be getting tearful tributes and acknowledgments from politicians and media figures. These are the people we ought to honor.

One of the things that has been lost in the history of the Boston Massacre is that the citizens had assembled in protest of the murder of an 11 year old child who threw a brick through the window of a post house in protest of the Stamp Act and was killed by a British officer in retaliation
Paul Revere's 1770 engraving of the Boston Massacre is historically inaccurate, but helped inflame sentiments against the British. Revere omits Crispus Attucks, a formerly enslaved man of African & Native American descent— the first casualty.

Bob Tomolillo's Boston Massacre Reboot Project added him

is it not weird that every day there’s a new video of anonymous masked men having the time of their lives beating/shooting/disappearing people and the dem response from the top down is “republicans want to double your health insurance premiums”

in DC: anything short of denying every last vote for ICE funding is a violation of their oaths of office

youre a fucking leader representing the people being shot dead by trump goons. DEMAND ice get the fuck out.
Sen. Tina @smith.senate.gov, D-Minn., tells me the situation in MN is a “terrible tragedy” and calls on ICE to leave. “I've been in touch with the mayor and the governor, and also with the Dept of Homeland Security, urging them to get ICE off the street, which will help to keep things calm.”

They get to “fear for their lives” and defend themselves. The public cannot. Police have a monopoly on violence that’s upheld by the legal system and cultural conditioning that convinces us the police are righteous defenders of the public.

ICE just murdered a woman here in Minneapolis. A legal observer. Shot her multiple times while she drove away as ordered. She was a US citizen.

Absolute, unequivocal, cold-blooded murder by Trump’s gestapo.

Abolish ICE, jail for everyone in charge. This is the lowest bar we accept now.

Masked ICE agents, it seems, are now killing American citizens on American streets.

Any Democrat who doesn’t support abolishing ICE should be instantly primaried and run out of the party.

This is non negotiable. You cannot support the continued existence of this fascist murderous secret police.

Broadly agree with "don't post murder videos on the internet" but there are a lot of politically moderate people who are not going to believe that's real as described unless they see the video for themselves

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

One of the sources of rot running through our political, intellectual, and media institutions is the total triumph of the idea that democracy means outsourcing your morality and point of view to a fuzzily incoherent view of what's popular. Total rejection of the idea of morality as personal virtue.
How is this different than what Republican senators say about Trump

Any democrat holding onto hope of a return to normalcy for the Republican Party should be removed from any proximity to power. These are 2017 delusions. Move on or move aside.
Schumer told Annie Karni and Luke Broadwater: “Here’s my hope … after this election, when the Republican party expels the turd of Donald Trump, it will go back to being the old Republican party.”
