Another opinion I think most overlook: AI Right now is a big productivity detractor. Current productivity growth is from reduction in hiring and spending since the pandemic bubble. Actual AI spending is highly inefficient right now. The big productivity bump comes when the shitcos blow up.....

Generative AI is going to pretty much completely displace search per se I think. Google just hopes you’ll access it through its existing interface.
I was in Jakarta recently talking to sins young people and one of them said “we don’t even use search anymore, we use Char GPT”. It’s good that we are having conversations about environmental impact in the West but there’s a generational shift in the global majority that needs attention
