It bothers me that most of the bands I know are resigned to being merchandise businesses. That young bands in my city have a stall of tchochkes but no CDs. It's easy to say musicians need adapt and find new ways to get by, but. No. Fuck it. We should be able to earn our keep from our music.

Sure, you might think it's too harsh. Sure, they might've only used it for early stuff in development, etc

periodically I'll see a backlash that goes a little too far or seems kinda unfair. i never say anything because i think we need to be kinda unhinged and zealous in our response to this shit. I'd take an honest-to-God crusade against this stuff over letting it proliferate.
