It really bothers me when people give security advice like this and don’t say what it’s FOR to help people figure out their own risk tolerance. Your phone creates a record of your location. Tech folks have told me it can even when it’s off. That can be really important evidence against you
I do feel like some of the advice I’ve seen about attending No Kings is a bit extreme, like “don’t bring your phone or ID.” The advice actually seems suspiciously counterproductive.
