Excellent reporting from Maxine Bernstein on John Paul Cupp's arrest. In her article, she writes that Cupp aka "Walid" has been monitored by the FBI since May 2024. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in his teens (according to the affidavit).

On the heels of the raid in St. Paul, Minnesota a week ago, ICE mercenaries are carrying out another assault on that community right now.

It's heartening to see people showing up to stand up to them. Build rapid response networks and community defense groups. Resist.

Minnesota needs to start building quick responder networks that are public facing in anticipation of future raids and increased brutality
WATCH St. Paul police, aiding ICE, restrain a man and spray him full in the face. They are not and have never been on our side.

this gutted me
My 6yo has started pretend electronic locking her bedroom door at night so Trump can't get in. She seemed to think that he himself is going into homes and causing harm. There are children in her school whose families have been impacted by ICE so we assume this is where the concern came from.
A Wash Post review found instances of parents arrested near campuses in at least 10 states so far this year. Actions near campuses—which include shooting a man, releasing tear gas and engaging in a car chase—have prompted lockdowns. @justinemcdaniel.bsky.social www.washingtonpost.com/education/20...

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.
