And yes this too was part of Black Lives Matter

It’s why they were terrified

If you can discredit them and defend those they target without saying their names or spreading their hateful words, they get so so mad. They can't profit from it! It is so much better.

Remember the ringleader of prison torture at Abu Ghraib, Charles Graner? Was a corrections officer at a notorious prison in Pennsylvania where guards were repeatedly accused of abusing prisoners.
Sent to Abu Ghraib as a military prison guard.

Prices fluctuate all the time. A low price on a particular item may not be exclusive to Black Friday sales, experts say.

"What's 'surveillance pricing,' Spike?"

- Fire up your VPN
- Set your location to, I dunno, Missouri
- Look for a specific hotel room for a specific day on booking dot com, Note the price
- Now set your location to NYC or SF
- Look up that same hotel room
- Is it $80 a night more expensive?
- YEAH.

lol "dynamic pricing" if they don't gtfo with these fucking euphemisms for "How can we squeeze the last drop of blood from this stone?"
Yeah, the "dynamic pricing" in big box stores is the same. Depending on who is looking at the tag, time of day, etc. the price for items can literally change from the shelf to the register. 😤 Freaking DISNEY is even going to start using it! deadline.com/2025/11/disn...
Disney Will Bring Dynamic Pricing Similar To Airline Model To Domestic Theme Parks, Says CFO

DID YOU SEE THIS AWFUL THING THIS AWFUL MAN SAID

HOW ABOUT THIS TERRIBLE GUY, ISN'T IT HE TERRIBLE

OK, so... why are you his street team? Why are you signal-boosting?
The most precious commodity you have is your attention. You don’t have to waste it on poor-faith debates or arguments with strangers if you don’t think they’ll be productive. You can prioritize the things that matter to you and make your life richer.

Greedy landlords caused the housing affordability crisis — don’t feel sorry for them.

“Rents in Montreal are now so high that landlords are reportedly ‘struggling to find tenants’ — failing to acknowledge that their incessant price-gouging is the root cause. Here’s a thought: lower the rent!”
Montreal housing crisis: Landlords aren't the victims here
The Montreal Gazette recently promoted a tone-deaf article positioning landlords as victims of potential solutions to the housing crisis.

Now she’s facing cancer herself, and because ACA subsidies won’t be extended, she is losing her healthcare.

Her costs are going up for $49,000 a year.

This isn’t healthcare, it’s eugenics.

it is amazing how so much tech gets unremittingly worse year on year at whatever you once used it for and less pleasant to use and more bound up with creepy politics as well as personal and environmental harms and yet also still less productive of actual goods and these are somehow great visionaries

There was a period of about 20 years when you could detect plagiarism pretty well by Googling, and AI made that mostly obsolete, but a LOT of the 20th century tactics work just fine against it.
This made me laugh, because that is also a high school English teacher trick from back in the day when students bought essays on the internet.
