📈 TESCO

In the past four years, food prices in the UK have rocketed by a staggering 40% – yet between 2020/21 and 2024/5 Tesco saw its operating profit balloon by almost three quarters (72%).

This sort of rampant profiteering is simply a disgrace, and it must be stopped.

I understand the pressures on the BBC, but Radio 4's coverage of the Minneapolis shooting is an example of "bad balance".

It's all "the Trump regime says she was a terrorist, but Democrats say it was murder".

The BBC has the footage. It doesn't have to treat truth and falsehood as equally valid.

As Trump attacks Europe, Starmer sends ministers to undermine the ECHR.
The 'West' is not coming back. In 2026 the EU has to face this, move faster, with other democracies around the world in this new global disorder. The UK may find it hard to keep up.

Europe, Brexit, Rights and the Collapse of the ‘West’
The end of the West has, in many ways, been the theme of 2025. As the US becomes more enemy than ally, 2026 is shaping up to be a crunch year.

Palantir of course is run by a gleefully evil CEO who smilingly characterized all Palestinians as “useful idiots” at a public Q and A session. He claimed Palantir tech was used only to kill “terrorists” in Gaza - so no connection at all to the genocide there.
Yet this firm now manages NHS data.

Did Labour MPs ever imagine that they would be ending the first period of their first government in more than 14 years with their own Home Secretary feeling the need to publicly deny that she plans to defect to Reform?

Hey, anybody remember Starmer's leadership election pledges? This is what Labour members voted for, but look what they got. He's not to be trusted.

It's Mobile Libraries Day! #MobileLibrariesDay2025
Today we celebrate the vital library services on wheels throughout Scotland.
Sadly today's weather means Leona can't get out west, but we will have the big van outside HQ this morning, if anyone would like to take a look inside!

Starmer lies and he lies and he lies. No pledge goes unbroken.
No full voting fights for EU nationals
No defence of freedom of movement
No end to indefinite detention
Yarl’s Wood remains open
And no compassion and dignity in our immigration system

Starmer made this ‘pledge’ in February 2020, deliberately lying to get Party leadership

He cannot be trusted
November 18, 2025 at 12:47 PM
realise that Starmer's labour makes a fetish out of plumbing moral depths but this one really is beyond unforgiveable. As long as him - and his gang - are in the Labour Party anyone who votes for them is happy to vindicate all the lies of the far right
Doesn’t matter. “Starmer and Mahmood wanted to take jewellery from asylum seekers” is a mark those two will never be able to wash off and which the party as a whole will have to put in onerous work to remove.
My guess is they will end up u-turning on the jewellery thing (you can already see it being softening in interviews) and possibly the 20 years (which is way longer than Denmark).

How many trans people have the BBC had on this week discussing the BBC's pro-trans bias?

Looking at Stromness when swimming is just so much nicer than having to listen to Labour agreeing with Trump - it was bad enough when they were just agreeing with everything Farage said
