The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

[2/2] Later, I got to wondering what the real reason for the Humane Society's involvement in filmmaking was, so I looked it up, and apparently it *really was* a film where the producers chucked a horse off a cliff: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_J.... I genuinely thought I was exaggerating for effect.

This is my favourite game. Every part of it sucks, but each part sucks in a way that GESTURES TOWARD something that would be awesome were it not undermined by every other part. It can't be improved because everything that's terrible about its load-bearing. Did I mention it's the best game ever made?

in its latest scumbag move, google added nebulous "smart" features you can only use when you consent to let them scrape all your data, added a "when you check this box we get all your personal data" box in settings, then, in an act of generosity, ticked it for themselves and didn't tell users.
