At my rural eastern Washington school, the ag/shop teacher had made a "Measure 2x (twice), cut once" poster.
I'll admit that I'd never heard of that before.
I modified the sign by switching "2x" and "once."
He really didn't care about my modification of it.
Looking back, it's a great phrase.

In Washington state high school football, Kansas tiebreakers (x number of possessions starting at the 25-yard line) or mini-games (generally 20 or 24 minutes) are used if at least three schools need to decide postseason berths in a league/district.
Those would be too woke for Texas.
