It goes along with the fact that Peggie deliberately waited for everyone else to leave the changing rooms before harassing Beth Upton, because she knew the other women would've stood up for Upton.

The reason they're so focused on trans teens is that people who transition younger typically blend into society better. To the extent that they're willing to tolerate our existence in society at all, they'd rather we be easily identified by our appearance/voices/etc.
Cis people really have no idea how it feels to watch a regime hold a press conference to admit, on camera, the pogrom against trans people they've been waging for 11 months is not only real, but they're going to double down on genocide and try to wipe out all the children first.

I think people conflate "slavery exists at all in a time period" with "people in that period were totally chill with slavery." Coincidentally, they're probably the same people who are unaware slavery is still happening today, even in the imperial core

Interesting to note that the trans hostile EHRCs and Labours line is pivoting hard from 'follow the law' (legal) to 'follow the rules' (social contract).

I felt deeply unsafe, humiliated, hopeless like nobody cares, violated. I don't think the EHRC lets me use the [service of my gender] so I was just denied service."

So I'm going through the BBC archives on trans people to see how people are talked about and I'm at about 2005 now.
1. "Biological" just does not appear until this year
2. Omission of pronouns completely also doesn't occur until this year
3. Only 5 incidents of misgendering so far
