"middle class" is a word that ultimately means nothing because it is only relative. By definition as long as there are people above you and below you, you can construe "middle" to include yourself. We would do better to develop/adopt terms that actually describe classes of material wealth and power.
Middle class is when you are named "Ferris" and "Cameron" and "Sloane" and live in mansions and have ultra-rare Ferraris and a computer in your bedroom in 1986
