I hate that this sort of post is the only way I'd know these things are even happening. I'm not a great ally. I don't do enough, but I feel like I'm being denied even the chance.
Bluesky tonight is neatly divided between trans people and family members appropriately angry and freaking out and everyone else who has barely noticed.

"Trump is an outright racist and he appeals to 10s of millions of US citizens who are also outright racists" is both fundamentally, obviously true ... and something that mainstream journalism has decided is impermissible to say.

I used to find "DEI" to be a weak corporate counterpoint to "racial justice" but now I unironically want every business in America doing DEI as loudly as possible because the relevant counterpoint today is "overt racism."

Welp, got laid off today. Took me six months to find this job, which was incredible financial and emotional strain on myself and multiple people in my life. Now I have to do it again in a worse economy.
