My father is gaslighting me by suddenly insisting that we have ALWAYS added boiled eggs to decorate the rosolli (Finnish Christmas Eve salad). I don't remember having this before in my life. Which of us is going mad?!?

I've mentioned this quietly, but - since the summer my hobby has been making this ambitious murder mystery podcast. A story. Narrated by me, with a mouthwatering cast. Partly interactive. Trailer is coming tomorrow but if you like the sound of this, please follow @murderbastard.bsky.social.

It's actually quite amazing Donald Trump can still astound us with his depravity.

Whilst having lunch, I remembered it was my friend Kate's birthday today. Didn't have my phone on me so wrote a "K" on my hand to remind me to text her when I went back upstairs. Just realised it looks unfortunately like a mini swastika. 😱

Your annual reminder that the first of December is not the first day of Christmas (and neither is the 13th!).

The first day of Christmas is Christmas Day!
On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree. Ate it.

If you don’t like the BBC, I suggest that you go to America and watch their TV for a day. It gives you a migraine. The BBC also keeps the standards of the other outlets relatively high. If you think we watch shit now, imagine it with no BBC. And they actually care about drama, children’s, factual.

There’s no screening for ovarian cancer and it’s really difficult to spot: you can’t squidge your ovaries in the shower to check for lumps. Also it’s very good at masquerading at other things, like IBS and diverticulitis.

Please take a look at this list of symptoms - and share if you can.

As we have been saying: Keir Starmer could personally machine gun refugees in the channel and *it still wouldn't be enough* because the entire point of the fascist worldview is to rage against the external and internal enemies of the people and the soft traitors who enable them.

It just so happens I stumbled across this yesterday. I thought, if only someone showed this on TV every time they show or discuss Pochin or Reform or Farage. Buy ad time. And show this.

We had to read Kafka when I was at school. Always assumed "The Castle" was fiction, but it was clearly an accurate look-ahead to dealing with local authorities/ social services in the year 2025.

I recall in the 60s, Remembrance Day was one solemn Sunday morning. That was it.
It was a moving occasion at our local memorial and attended by actual WW1 and WW2 veterans. Unlike the mawkish weeks long competition for the most tasteless display of a poppy that it's become
