Judge Wilkinson fanclub.
Being evil had nothing to do with it, it was about Nixon's scandals having clear electoral consequences for Congress. Watergate stretched on for over a year before he resigned.

It's all well and good to dunk on your favorite pundit villain but "having the morally correct position is worthless if you can't hold power" remains the most important lesson of the Trump era.
4. Yglesias instead seems to implicitly argue that politicians should only do what wins elections, virtue be damned. One wonders what he thinks of those foolish 1850s abolitionists. As Condleeza Rice once said, politics is the art of making the impossible inevitable. That ain't this.

Khanna: Congress is talking about possible impeachment. They're talking about inherent contempt for the attorney general or deputy attorney general—any justice department official who has obstructed justice could face prosecution in this administration or a future administration.

Many of the charter schools in Arizona are nightmares.
Because it’s a smash and grab.
Arizona, the model for voucher programs across the country, spent so much money paying private schoolers’ tuition that it faced hundreds of millions in budget cuts to critical state programs and projects last year.

articles like this are aimed at other members of the demographic who feel that wokeness has quashed their job prospects, but As A Woman, it's pretty discouraging to read them and realize how many of my peers might see me as having achieved my own career only by stealing what was rightfully theirs

It's a great idea but I don't know if you can get all the required safety features in a car for $5k unless it doesn't have an engine.
If car companies were smart, they would make 1 low cost car in their lineup, and keep the design for at least 5 years to lower costs. We are rapidly transferring people into poverty. A $5000 car with a good design and low cost replacement parts would be a huge assist to the poor.

Speed limits were 55 because above that wastes gas and causes extremely bad accidents. Limits were placed arbitrarily ABOVE 55 to make people happy.
Speed limits are set arbitrarily low to extract revenue from people that have no transportation options beyond their own privately owned vehicles. 'Choosing to speed' near a residential area or school is completely different than passing people on a highway
