People are right to be incensed, but there are more names to uplift. ICE killed an immigrant man named Silverio Villegas González in Chicagoland. He had children. Victor Manuel Diaz was kidnapped in Minneapolis and died in ICE custody on January 14. Their names deserve to be repeated, too.

We did this a decade ago with the Burkes, YCP etc. Where did that go? You can say it all you want, but you have to create that space daily and not crumble with the least amount of pushback. No NHL team has done that.

And you can't assign a number to "weird and interesting." You have to take risks. You have to be OK with failure. Otherwise you're publishing 10,000 titles that are vaguely similar and that's not going to work out for you long term. It's boring.

The worst someone can be on social media is annoying, and so if a lot of your reality is interpolated by that, it becomes the same as ‘evil’
The USA somehow lost the ability to be mildly annoyed and it turns out there being a middle ground between "I like this person" and "This person must be publicly executed in front of their loved ones" was load bearing for human civilization.
