What this map shows is, as with UKIP and BXP, Reform is strongest in areas with few graduates and a lot of old people.

There are enough Commons seat that look like that for them to win 100-200 seats but not win a majority.
The ward with the highest Reform vote, 65%, was in Tony Blair’s former Sedgefield constituency – John Curtice www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

So why are we in the UK allowing Palantir - closely allied with Musk’s DOGE - access to our NHS data?
🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read.

He's saying DOGE came in, data went out, and Russians started attempting logins with new valid DOGE passwords

Media's coverage wasn't detailed enough so I dug into his testimony:

I'd suggest that "US regime-adjacent oligarch" is a rather gentle way to describe Peter "I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible" Thiel.

A point not made enough: the UK runs a trade goods deficit with the US so shouldn’t be paying any tariffs at all based on the White House formula (10% is not a “win”).

Objectively amazing.

I mean, I know Frank Mançois thinks he personally won WWII by tearing documents live on telly in 2019, but there is no way EVEN HE did not know this about his actual opposite number. So, what did he think the response would be?

I'd have decked him, tbh.

In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

Memories of "Spycatcher".
This is incredibly stupid by Meta. As a result, Careless People is now a bestseller in the US and while I may have read it anyways, Meta's clumsy attempts at censorship left me with no choice but to order a copy.

I notice @hopenothate.org.uk have recorded Pete North as spurning Homeland (as too extreme) in 2024. And yet he's now working with them.
For those who follow the arcane parts of the Far Right: remember Pete North? It seems he has essentially written Ukip's manifesto (yes they're still going).

And now he's amicably moving his allegiance to the neo-nazi, ethno-nationalist Homeland Party. What a charmer.

Last week we saw the start of Module 5 of the UK Covid Inquiry which examines the procurement of PPE, ventilators, oxygen supply and testing.

Here's what we learnt. 🧵 (1/7)

"refreshing" 🤔

I bet it's a segue into "We needed a plan just like Reform".
And THIS is very refreshing.

It feels like we are moving forward. We all know Brexit was a horrendous farce. We need our leaders to say it. And then we can have fresh, clear conversations.
