I feel like "people shouldn't watch stuff at full volume out of their speaker on public transport" is such a hack bit, which makes me even more taken aback that people still fucking do it

say what you want about British food (lord knows most of it is deserved) but bangers and mash is a fucking high quality meal and you're denying yourself if you think it isn't

Christian: O Holy Night or Silent Night

Secular: Last Christmas
What is your favorite "Christian" Christmas song and what is your favorite "Secular" Christmas song?

I will probably always adore "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" for Christian.

And "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" for secular.

it was however many years ago and I STILL find myself quoting "I'M AFRAID I'VE GOT SOME...BAD NEWS!"
Bad News Barrett was so fucking stupid but I loved it then and I love it now.

how do you even ENGINEER a scenario where your camera picks up dick-shaped ultraviolet patterning that isn't visible to the naked eye. just, his deep, deep confusion when he sees it on the preview, turns around, and it's not there. perfect. i would be exactly this lost

• “I didn’t watch it, but TikTok told me it’s problematic.”
• “I didn’t read it, but here’s my take based on screenshots.”
• “I didn’t follow the narrative, but I saw a gifset and that’s enough.”
• “I don’t understand the plot, therefore the writing is bad.”

Watching the Today show with the family.

The scrubs reboot is mentioned

Daughter asks "what's a scrub"

"A scrub is a guy who thinks he's fly, also known as a buster"

My wife is glaring at me.

when you look at the video for nirvana's "in bloom" now, you can see the two radically different takeaways the band would take: on the one hand, kurt was exploring a painful and complicated relationship with gender and stardom, and on the other, dave discovered it's fun to wear wigs in music videos
