Once, when I was a barista out of high school, someone ordered an “extra hot” latte, and when I told her the highest I could go she went off on me for 10 mins. When eventually I made it as hot as I could without getting fired, she tried to pour it on my head.

My partner was so adorably proud of himself this morning because he managed to sneak hollandaise sauce into the grocery bag yesterday without me noticing - he handed it to me, even, disguised under something else! All to make my fave breakfast eggs benedict today. I love him so dang much. ❤️

My joy at discovering there is an entire genre of statuary known as "The Porch Goose" is tempered somewhat by the disappointment that they are all very docile-looking. This lad is excellent, but what if he was wingspread and hissing like a gargoyle? I'd put that on my porch in a heartbeat.
