One of the things about people showing up to protest for the first time, that many, many armchair theorists don't grasp, is the effect of seeing what happens with your own eyes, then seeing how media covers it, and what is said ABOUT YOU by media and political personalities/office holders.
This dude is intense and correct

It seems like some “progressive” people desperately want there to be no midterms and are angry at the mere suggestion of how elections actually work in this country.

If all you're willing to do is say "We're cooked" on a social media site, maybe it is all over.

If you're willing to struggle alongside your friends and neighbors for democracy, then we've got a chance.

A reminder that any moment a handful of Republicans could simply call up the Democrats and they could have Trump out of office by the end of the week.

if only there had been a movement and momentum several years ago to downsize police budgets, clear out the white supremacists and de-militarize local law enforcement
The elephant in the room is that mayors and governors across the country have very good reason to question the loyalty and allegiances of the state and local police forces and that’s one of the impediments to doing anything about the current occupations

IT IS NOT THEIR FUCKING FLAG
IT IS NOT THEIR FUCKING COUNTRY
IT IS OURS
It's in fact good to wrap yourself in the flag when you're about to get tear-gassed fighting against an imperialist war or murderous Cossacks killing and disappearing your neighbors.

A must read.
Take away jobs, get ICE agents.

“…nearly 30 percent of ICE agents and approximately 50 percent of Border Patrol agents in the United States are Latino. According to data Univision received from ICE in 2017, Latino ICE agents outnumber Black agents 2 to 1 and Asian agents by 4 to 1.”
NEW — This Chicago organizer could barely sleep last night after hearing the news about an ICE agent shooting Renee Nicole Macklin Good in Minneapolis.

I'll be honest. I don't care if proposing articles of impeachment is an empty gesture that will ultimately die in the Republican controlled congress, I want Dems to do it anyway. I want them to put political pressure on their opposing party even if it's doomed to fail.
"What do you want the Dems to DO exactly?" is kicked dog behavior. Elected officials are not meant to do insider trading and occasionally give a 4/10 speech about civility. They are an expression of the values of those they represent, you're damn right I expect up to and including physical action.
