Man the recent era of Doctor Who just can't stick a landing for the life of it, can it? Even in spin-offs.

"You successfully carried out genocide against our species and we acknowledge that, even in surrender, you'll continue to hunt us for sport... but I guess we'll stop fighting back anyways."

There's some special, if minor, hell for people who post 'any updates' in an update thread where, if there was an update, then it would already be there.

the binder IS the safe alternative. there are guidelines for safe use of these. i remember my trans friends (and cosplayers) as a kid describing painfully using ace bandages to compress their chests. this is dangerous, this causes tissue damage and can harm the ribs.

One reason Disney is OK with allowing OpenAI to torpedo their brands after decades of cracking down on childrens hospitals for painting comforting characters on the walls or a dad who wanted his son's favorite character Spider-Man etched onto his grave is that grieving families don't have $1 billion

This has a parallel. Into the 2000s, police in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan would take Indigenous folks they found outside late at night on "starlight tours," driving them beyond the city limits, and dumping them there. They'd often freeze to death trying to get home.

The only thing that annoys me more than a scripted, unwinnable fight that the game still makes you play out is a *winnable* fight that the game assumes you'd lose so the story continues as if you did whether or not you came out on top.

Just make it a fucking cutscene folks.

All of the companies that make the software I use are increasing their prices, to account for an "investment" in AI.

I'm sat here imagining how my clients would feel if I added 30% to each invoice, because I "really got into gambling".

When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

Louis C.K.’s Next Chapter
In a new standup special, and a début novel, the comedian navigates murky, post-#MeToo terrain: not quite exiled, not quite welcomed back.

The diplomatic "achievement" of the ceasefire was to recalibrate the tempo of the genocide sufficiently to get it off the front pages and the news bulletins, thus alleviating the political pressure on Israel's western accomplices.

Just had an Arena opponent salt-rope during the final attack of a match of Midweek Magic: Jump In of all things.

Midweek Magic is unranked and Jump In is the most casual of casual formats. Zero pressure, zero stakes.

Salt-roping is losing to the turn timer instead of accepting a final play.
