Eyebrow raising claims have been made to justify Scot Gov’s bond issuance plan.

Repeated FOI requests for the calculations underpinning these claims were refused. Scot Gov eventually released the relevant spreadsheet, with its entire contents redacted. Every tab looks like this.

We did it! We are going to build the Deep Time Trail at Siccar Point! 🥳

Thank you so much to everyone who donated, and everyone who supported the campaign by sharing it.

We couldn’t be doing this without you.

The BBC Micro is 44 years old today, Happy Birthday! However, many customers had to wait until early 1982 for delivery of theirs due to limited supply availability before Christmas. During its lifespan just over 1.5 million were sold - exact figures are not known. I still have my original one.

My most-ascended hill! Scotland - not bad.
Simply glorious conditions on Sgòr Gaoith in the Cairngorms today. A favourite hill, but seldom more beautiful than this. Hope you had time to get out and enjoy the conditions, wherever you went - whether up high, down in the glens, out on the coast or deep in the woods.

We *really* need to actively differentiate Machine Learning from GenAI. GenAI is riding the Machine Learning coattails and risks destroying an incredibly useful innovation by conflating it with absolute slop that codes decently.
