As an avid webcomics reader, I've had inklings that all was not well at Hiveworks for a long time... but this accounting of just blatent mismanagement and theft is really disheartening and disappointing. I genuinely feel for the artists.
The Hiveworks Artist Guild has released a public statement alleging years of labor abuses, financial mismanagement, and misconduct at Hiveworks at the hands of Xellette “Xel” Velamist and Isabelle “Isa” Melançon. Read their full statement at:

I genuinely feel bad for all those young Venezuelan refugees in the US who are hopeful and have never seen how badly a US occupation can destroy a country. Like, I can totally see how the fall of a hated dictator could seem positive, but history tells us the replacement will likely be so much worse.
