I strongly support an investigation into this matter.

Each officer must fill out detailed paperwork listing any and all hurtful names that he has been called.

Naturally, for FOIA reasons, this paperwork must be publicly available online.

To recap:
*The journalist who had tried and failed to get Trump admin comment on the CECOT piece warned that delaying it in order to get comment was pointless
*Weiss said she would personally book an admin interview
*They delayed the piece…and the Trump admin never delivered the promised interview
If you're following the unbuilding of CBS News, there's a development.

@brianstelter.bsky.social says the Inside CECOT report is to air tonight, "according to sources at CBS."

This part interested me most: "The promised interview did not materialize."

I put myself through the entire interview. Trust me when I tell you that Gavin "dank memes" Newsom agrees with him on EVERYTHING. I literally says "I agree with you" on EVERYTHING. Ben "extremely unpopular even with MAGA" Shapiro gets very combative with him and Gavin capitulates EVERY time.
Ben Shapiro: "Israel did not commit a genocide in Gaza"
Gavin Newsom: "I agree with you."

The whole force behind a Gavin newsom presidency run is based on the idea that Democrats lose when they run on having principles and supporting marginalized people so the best possible democratic candidate is the person with the least principles who will screw over the most marginalized people

When Democrats folded in the last government shutdown—rescuing the GOP majority from itself and helping them pass a budget, giving validation to the Trump administration’s lawbreaking—the savvy politics knowers explained that folding was clearly worth it because it got the Epstein Files released.
No federal judge has the power or authority to make DOJ comply with the mandatory provisions of the Epstein Act, says Pam Bondi. It's unenforceable and meaningless. Essentially, DOJ is a lawless if not criminal enterprise, not a law enforcement agency, at this point.

I’m sorry but if the premise of these encounter between state agents and civilians is the state agents doing ethnic cleansing what would it mean to “reform” the state institution involved and why would you want to be attached to that institution as a thing to reform in the first place

The fascist government gave ICE a massive funding increase which they’re using to wage war on cities, murder citizens and kidnap immigrants.

Senate Democrats response is to offer them more funding.

It’s time to abolish the two party system.

In the grand scheme this is not the most important thing that happened today.

But "protesters eagerly sift through the equipment and papers left behind by the regime's routed elite security forces" historically happens at a much later stage of regime collapse than this.
