This is really really bad. Like, you think sponsored ads on Google are annoying? Wait until ISPs throttle load speeds to websites that don't pay them for higher speeds.
A direct consequence of the Supreme Court overturning the Chevron doctrine in Loper Bright Enterprises last term. We are seriously fucked.

An important part of arresting the consolidation of authoritarianism is convincing corporations and institutions that Trump will eventually be out of power and at that point they’ll face consequences for their actions and by that standard this is a good sign
Jamie Dimon says JPM hasn't given to the ballroom because "anything we do, since we do a lot of contracts with governments here and around the world, we have to be very careful about how anything is perceived." Adds "And also how the next DOJ is going to deal with."

It’s clear that the primary interest of the US in “peace negotiations” is to create opportunities for Trump, Witkoff, their family members, business partners and cronies to make billions from business deals with Russia, and Ukraine is just the annoying nuisance in the way.

Here's the problem with Frederick Douglass: Us.
Most of us never get past one of his autobiographies, usually the first & shortest, & his oration, "What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?"
Yet his was one of the greatest prophetic voices the country has produced. The post below is a small example.
From Frederick Douglass's 1867 "Composite Nation" speech, a defense of Chinese migration to the United States at a time when anti-Chinese sentiment was intensifying.

The only solution is to dismantle ICE and CBP completely. This lawlessness and cruelty cannot be reformed.

TRUMP: He went cuckoo. He went nuts. There was no vetting

Q: Actually, your DOJ IG says there was thorough vetting of Afghans. So why blame Biden?

TRUMP: You're just asking questions because you're a stupid person

Enjoy your family, be thankful for your personal blessings.

That doesn’t take away the need to acknowledge the misery our Native Populations endured and continue to experience as a result of generational trauma and disenfranchisement,

You can do both. You can do both.
This Thanksgiving—observe the National Day of Mourning.

From 1819 to 1969, US Govt stole tens of thousands of Indigenous kids—forcing them to convert to Christianity & stripping them of their identities. Resistance was met with violence. Sexual abuse was rampant.
