This production rocks except for the fact that it is embarrassed to be about chess, the game!
CHESS, one of the best musicals ever, still awaits a book that isn’t a mess. I love it so much. Think of how much less fun this show would be if someone ever got it right.

One thing I'm thinking a lot about recently is how it was always presented to me as an anicent, inherent truth--something built into the texts--that Jews and Muslims exist in opposition to each other. And how absurd that is. But accepting that is part of what's required to sell genocide.

The funniest thing about this extremely real phenomenon is that in sports when your team is losing you don’t yell at the team that’s beating you, you yell at your own team for not playing better. You phone into sports radio and demand they fire the manager. You chant “Sell the Team” at home games.
People who are angry at you for criticizing Democrats don't want accountability and they don't want a party that's working for you. They want team sports and they want to wear the jersey and the hat and make loud noises and that's all they care about
