This is a pretty severe escalation from CBS, just straight up lying like this.
BREAKING: The ICE agent who fatally shot Renee Good last week in Minneapolis, Jonathan Ross, suffered internal bleeding to the torso following the incident, according to two U.S. officials briefed on his medical condition.

Thing to remember about Stephen Miller is that people knew he was a Nazi back when he was a twenty something congressional staffer. This did not hamper his rise to prominence within the Republican Party. There are zero analogous examples of down low communists working on policy with the Democrats

Yes, immigration agents not only took Arnoldo's phone, the 10th grader had to use Find My Phone to locate it — in a vending machine for used electronics, close to an ICE detention center.

telling the secret police they have immunity to harm & kill citizens really lays bare the hollowness of decades of right-wing GOP screeching about encroaching Big Government - it was never a problem they had with government per se, just that it wasn't being used to harm the people they wanted to

Having seen several abductions up close, it is really hard to convey how much the thing they’re doing is roaming in military convoys until they see someone who is alone and isn’t white, and then jumping out in large numbers, pulling them into a van, and screeching off, all in 90 seconds or so.
"“They specifically asked me if I knew where the Hmong families lived on my street & in the neighborhood.” Lugert-Thom responded, “I don’t know anything about that” & she said they then asked, “Well, what about the Asian families?”"

"“I was a bit shaken & a bit shocked of what I was asked to do.”"
A St. Paul resident says federal officers knocked on her door and asked her to identify Hmong and Asian households in her North End neighborhood last week.

Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

I have to say, I'm a little frustrated, there are vast numbers of horrifying videos of ICE circulating privately right now, but a lot of paranoia about sharing them publicly on social media. Sharing is fairly low-risk and THE ONLY WAY the full scope of what's happening here will be understood.

You notice how thousands and thousands of cops aren't coming out to condemn Jonathan Ross for senselessly killing Renee Good?

This is what people mean by "all cops are bastards". If this were any other profession, the entire group would condemn it. With cops it's the reverse, they all justify it.

I know it's not mainstream conventional wisdom but I think "Abolish ICE" is a perfectly reasonable response to this and you can get the public to buy in. Most people don't want masked murderous thugs roving their streets

I would just like to say that, as an American citizen, I do not believe that "fostering an environment that is good for investors" is something I would ever like the FDA to prioritize. In fact I think it should be illegal for them to even consider it.
“FDA Commissioner Marty Makary indicated that one of the agency’s priorities is fostering an environment that’s good for investors… The new approach appears to open the door to the unregulated use of generative AI products for certain medical tasks, such as summarizing a radiologist’s findings.”

The FDA will ease regulation of digital health products, aiming to deregulate AI and promote its widespread use.

I feel I cannot stress enough how 'AI' products serve, intentionally or not, to reestablish the control of a very small group of people over language and expression, a new form of digital boot.

One hopes the proliferation of open models may push back on this. Or the Butlerian Jihad. Either way.

The killing of civilians in boats by the military was a test by the Trump administration to see if they could power over some of the oldest longstanding norms & laws of war: don't target civilians, render help to capsized sailors.
