The men carrying out Musk's coup are Akash Bobba, Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, Gautier Cole Killian, Gavin Kliger, and Ethan Shaotran.

Make them famous. And, eventually, when possible, arrest them and charge them with multiple felonies. www.wired.com/story/elon-m...

Engineers between 19 and 24, most linked to Musk’s companies, are playing a key role as he seizes control of federal infrastructure.

Project 2025 was published in April of 2023. Democrats had nearly two years to prepare. At some point you realize it isn’t incompetence; it’s unconcern.

No mystery what we're seeing here:
-Illegally withholding spending/nullifying contracts
-Purges of law enforcement and prosecutors
-Taking bribes for lenient treatment while threatening enemies with persecution
-Pardoning violent/paramilitary allies
-Granting vast powers to an unelected billionaire

It's unfortunate that "global warming" became the standard nomenclature, because while it is of course correct, it allows too many denialists to pipe up with "but it's cold out!" and think they've disproven science.

It's 26° as I type this. Our world is still on fire.
It is both the case that the 2% of the planet that is it United States is remarkably frigid at the moment, and that the world as a whole is at record-warm levels for this day of the year:

if only someone with four years of executive power had tried to do something about this
Biden: "I want to warn the country of some things that give me great concern. That's the dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultra wealthy people and the dangerous consequences if their abuse of power is left unchecked. Today, an oligarchy is taking shape"

i think there's a linguistic slip happening that's important to understanding the appeal of trump to voters- the anonymous banker doesn't get to say those things, hence not using his name in the article, but trump does, hence the vicarious fantasy. my point is it makes it all way more pathetic
If you’re not afraid of getting canceled, you fucking coward, why didn’t you let them print your name?

an underrated thing about Worm's columns is that all he has to do is mean what he's saying and give reasons for it and yet each one's message is "here is what i learned i must believe this week or it displeases them, please do not strike Worm"
I hope that the meteor really destroys everything. I don’t want future archaeologists to know we were saying stuff like this

Charity is what the rich use to distract us from the incalculable harm they do to society.
Zuckerberg is an absolutely awful human being and his wife must be too. I don’t care about their charitable activity.
My favorite part of Zuckerberg's Joe Rogan interview is when he suggests there is not enough masculine energy at his company, where two out of every three employees is a man.

Worse. "Virtue signaling" used as an insult not only assumes no one actually cares about anyone aside from themselves, it also argues that a societal mechanism that gets these assumed-to-be-fundamentally-selfish individuals to act in ways that benefit other people and the wider community is bad.
“Virtue signaling” remains one of the most pernicious concepts to gain popular purchase. The whole premise of the concept leans on the idea no one actually cares about anyone aside from themselves.
Zuckerberg says people who leave his platforms are "virtue signaling"
