They're just passing money back and forth to make it look like growth, hiding the fact that things aren't being made, bought, sold, and especially shipped.

This actually has incredible potential for commentary on giving roles of underrepresented groups to actors who aren’t part of those groups, like cis actors playing trans people or non-disabled actors playing disabled people.
