I remain doubtful that Donald Trump Jr. is going to spend much of his time stumping for Indiana state legislative races
Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith (R) tells NewsNation's Blake Burman that he endorses the Trump administration's plan to primary the state senators that voted against a gerrymandering plan.

"We’re gonna find some really good America First candidates to run in this next primary season."

We won’t get an “At long last, sir, have no sense of decency?” moment.

Instead, some MAGA cabinet member will be at a hearing, ranting about “antifa” and some senator will say “That’s not antifa. It sounds more like bofa.”

And then Miller or Noem or whoever it is will say “What’s bofa?”

Indiana’s Senate has voted AGAINST the GOP gerrymander that’d have locked in a 9-0 map.

This keeps the 7-2 map in place, saving two Democratic seats heading into 2026.

The vote failed big, 19/31.

The MAJORITY of the GOP senators opposed it!

Justice Department again fails to re-indict New York Attorney General Letitia James, AP source says
A grand jury has declined for a second time to re-indict New York Attorney General Letitia James, refusing to resurrect a mortgage fraud prosecution encouraged by President Donald Trump, according to a person familiar with the matter.

BREAKING: Democrats have *flipped* a seat in Georgia's state House tonight.

Democrat Eric Gisler has won the seat, which was previously held by a Republican who resigned this fall.

This is a red territory: Trump won the district by 13% in 2024.

CONFIRMED: Eileen Higgins, a Democrat, will be the new mayor of Miami.

She'll be the city's first Democratic mayor since the 1990s. She flipped the office from Republicans, and does so easily. She leads the DeSantis-endorsed Emilio González 59/41 right now with most ballots counted.

I love these snapshots of old training dates, it's about as close as you can get to proving objectively that something is very very wrong with the country.

The machine built by feeding it decades of data and news stories is like "shut the fuck up, that shit can't be true."

Immune to frog boiling.

The Take Care Clause was a byproduct of the lessons learned from the Glorious Revolution that the executive should not be able to dispense with the law promulgated by the legislature. It was not a constitutional provision to empower the executive branch— but to constrain it!

The IN House is 70 R, 30 D, so this means quite a few Republicans voted against.

there is no legitimate definition of the term "democracy" under which maps like these are "democratic." this level of stovepiping is banana republic shit. this is effectively no different from stuffing a ballot box
Indiana Republicans have unveiled their proposal to re-gerrymander the congressional map & expand their current 7-2 majority to 9-0.

The Dem-held 1st would flip to Trump+12 & the 7th to Trump+19. All 7 GOP seats would be at least Trump+18.

I’m seeing that the new proposed Indiana districts range from R+12 to R+22.

Would be a great time to flip an R+22 seat in Tennessee, lol
