I always find it funny how some people just believe what random (to them) people say about me (which is usually talking shit), and when I tell them that I don't trust them anymore because of that, they're either surprised Pikachu face or they make me out to be the bad guy, lol

To be clear, this is just as bad as the Amazon AI dub thing. Not as much to meme about, but definitely just as bad. Remember when YouTube switched over to AI closed captions, removed the options for creators to provide their own, and then they all got immediately worse forever? This is like that.
After publishing this article, I've heard from many that CR seems to be using AI to produce dub CCs. Now, thanks to a slip-up CR had with episode 6 dub of The Banished Court Magician, we can say that with 100% certainty: Crunchyroll is using the AI service Ollang.com for its dub closed captions!

I often like to think about these kinds of situations like I think of the death penalty. Once you have engaged with the idea of "who deserves to be killed for their crimes" you've already conceded that the government should be allowed to kill people. Why fight on those terms?

I don't like seeing a bunch of video game distribution platforms try to endlessly appeal to a sweeping conservative purging of art off the internet. I don't want to litigate Horses' content because I think that cedes power to the censors.
ICYMI - Santa Regione is a legit game dev who has had their game banned by Valve and now also Epic, in both cases for what seems like very misguided reasons. Both studios have been needlessly opaque, refusing to specify exactly which bits of the game are in violation. It's censorship by vibes

Indie animation and game development is here to stay because it MUST be. Otherwise soon enough there won’t exist a sector of the industry willing to tell or support the stories already starting to be snuffed out.
Not great that a foreign state that regularly executes queer folks is now going to own the major AAA publisher that most consistently supported queer stories and characters.

In general, there's a lot of people who think it's just okay to shit on another because they have a temporary "moral high ground". The sooner people stop this stupid behavior, the better. And if they don't, that often says more about them than their "abuser" IMO.
