A lot of rules I have in football don’t make sense, but number 1 is- the ball should be placed wherever the ball was at the end of the play. Not where the runner’s knee/arm/butt touched the ground.

if Bama not making the CFP because they lost in the SEC CG sets a precedent that makes teams not want to play in their conference title games moving forward, it will actually make it very easy to know which teams should be excluded from consideration for the CFP for simply being losers lol
