This is what those 8 Dems just voted for
A return to a time when people died or became disabled because they couldn’t afford care
People are terrified tonight that they will have to start rationing meds
That they will lose their medical insurance
That they will die
Healthcare is a human right!

Before ACA, many Americans couldn’t afford insurance
Alex Smith was a diabetic who got kicked off his Mom’s insurance at 26
He made 35k a year which was “too much” for Medicaid, but not nearly enough to cover insurance premiums
He had to ration his insulin & died a month after losing insurance

Insulin's High Cost Leads To Lethal Rationing
Alec Raeshawn Smith was 23 when diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and 26 when he died. He couldn't afford $1,300 per month for his insulin and other diabetes supplies, so he tried to stretch the doses.

it’s important to understand that Nate Silver’s entire consciousness is filtered through the lens of being a gross nerd his entire life. the opportunity to feel like he’s one of the cool kids is something he can’t pass up, it’s load-bearing for his dork psyche.

The agreement to hold a vote on ACA subsidies is not a concession. It's worth literally nothing. It should be ignored when evaluating the merits of the deal
Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.
