#Ablesim
Why must people resort to demeaning those with dwarfism to create AI slop? This is not activism. It's moral cowardice, it's ablesim, & it's not on.

The ablesim is definitely out of control, but also why would you use hearing aids that are that reliant on your phone when you're going into the Amish???
January 23, 2026 at 2:55 AM
The tantrums they throw getting called out for ablesim are ridiculous!

There's no way to deny that ablesim is sadism. Particularly sanism is. People engaging in it actually cruelly delight in the suffering of people in the most terrible positions. We are positioned in the culture as those whose place is for the rest to be cruel to including by mockery. @lukesteuber.com

always “too much”

we are always, in the end,
“too much”

and at the same time not enough

I find that other traumatized ppl are actually more likely to fall for this kind of ablesim, because it offers them something to hate and blame for their own problems, or makes them feel superior after they've been made to feel so low. I empathize with that, but it is simply not the answer.

Amazing counter. Ive put forward my case and all you have are swear words and ablesim.
Do better

Some quality ablesim there.

Trump is bad, war is bad, money is less is less important than human health and emotions, ai sucks and kills nature, Elon Musk and Donald Trumos are dicks, animal abuse sucks, discrimination is awful and so is ablesim.

Some nice ablesim there

I know I'm not truly from Denver, but just going there once, I was HIGHLY surprised to see some of the worst people on this season of Love is Blind. The transphobia, homophobia, fatphobia, and ablesim is far too high. What are we doing here

7/ up in one scene, & I counted 5 masks in a packed house (in mid-2022), even though masked performances would have been a thoughtful touch for a show about ablesim & accessibility.

And when one (sympathetic, speaking truth-to-power) character w/ a mental health disability makes an offensive crack
September 15, 2025 at 6:57 AM
As someone who has audhd, friends & FAMILY w/ both mental/physical disabilities this is so enraging to see. This whole "enabling ablesim" shit needs to stop. And we need to make it clear that this type of thinking is NOT welcome in the vtubing community, & that this behavior wont be tolerated!pt3⬇️

'dumb' so ironic in my archaic ablesim,,, wishing mutism on yall vapid goblins
August 21, 2025 at 3:43 PM
people are reading this thread as me claiming that ablesim is worse than racism because racism impacts many different fields of experience, including housing and employment. I have some shit fucking news for you about being disabled, first of all. second, in no way have I said that ablesim is worse
honestly kind of tired of takes that paint it as always just, solely racism. it's a huge, important, undeniable factor, don't get me wrong. it's worth pointing out and addressing. but make no mistake: people also REALLY fucking despise disabled people, especially young disabled people
July 4, 2025 at 2:04 AM
I've literally seen many, many people claiming that these things are solely up to racism or solely up to transphobia. I'm not arguing that it's not a factor. I'm arguing that it's not okay to pretend that ablesim isn't
July 4, 2025 at 2:00 AM
we can acknowledge that it is absolutely a factor (it is) without ignoring ablesim as one of the fundamental issues we're facing as a people here
July 4, 2025 at 1:45 AM
This is why I can't with doctors. Firstly the ablesim among them. Claiming to heal but hating people who need healing. Moronic is a horrible ableist slur (don't @ me). Then kidney patients on dialysis not wanting COVID is a problem? I have kidney disease so I know COVID is a hammer to the kidneys.
A doctor took aim at patients who wear masks, deriding them as “moronic”

A colleague weighed in & admitted one of her patients died from undiagnosed lymphoma because the patient “wouldn’t remove their mask”

They’re blaming the patient for missing a diagnosis

How is this not grounds for dismissal?

Homophobia and Ablesim
June 14, 2025 at 10:57 AM
The demonising of this condition makes it hard for them to seek out help, and if we are being honest, it's got additional layers of ablesim and saneism.

We see similar when talking about the autism spectrum or ADHD or the combination of the two. Not every human is the same and marking all as

There was no good intent in her racism, transphobia, ablesim, and acephobia. 💀

...don't believe Musk is a victim of ablesim!" I just said we need another example because Musk is a monster and all that's going to come from me is loathing.

If you're trying to demonstrate someone's victimhood, the person you're talking to has to be able to have empathy and/or sympathy...
