Maybe they're trying to drown out the Gill scandal along side attacking the BeeB, which is just something they like to do anyway. A convenient little fiasco all of a sudden and it feels like it's to shift attention back to resent of the Tories and the BeeB, who are also corrupt as hell.

I can’t adequately say how it makes me rage hearing people on the Beeb saying “just donating whatever you can afford is great.” I’ve never heard a presenter say - “don’t feel guilty if you can’t afford to donate - make sure your kids are fed and your house is warm.” Hopefully one of them has.

I've always felt that Johnson and Farage put self-interest over the national interest - hence their dallying with Putin and his oligarchs. But directly colluding with a foreign government to take down the BBC feels like an act of supreme treachery
