Sunday: Trump applauds the resignation of Beeb execs bc Panorama truthfully said that Trump encouraged rioters.

Monday: Trump pardons over 50 of his co-conspirators and enablers in attempting to steal the 2020 election.

What has happened to the Beeb?
The BBC is apologising for its Panorama edit. It shouldn’t. First, the narrative is true: Donald Trump *did* incite the Capitol riot. Second, the apology won’t appease those attacking it. So why not at least stand for something?

Wrote this on it earlier this week:

The BBC was right about the Capitol riots. In a sane world, Trump would be in jail
The US President faced impeachment over the violence, and in a world where Republicans had more courage, he would have been found guilty

Dominic Cummings, in an earlier incarnation, ran a secretly-funded 'think tank' dedicated to attacking the Beeb while Robbie Gibb glided effortlessly from GBNews to the BBC & started lecturing staff on impartiality. Imagine (cos you'll have to) how the 'left-wing' equivalent would be reported.

The fact that Boris Johnson is in every right wing newspaper blasting the BBC should tell you what the right want to happen to the Beeb?
November 10, 2025 at 9:27 AM
The BBC’s week from hell might look like accountability - but there is more than a whiff of orchestration about it all.

When the Telegraph cheers and Trump claps, you have to ask yourself:

Who, exactly, benefits when the Beeb bleeds?
The Beeb Bleeds, the Telegraph Cheers, and Trump Claps From the Balcony
The people who always hated public broadcasting finally smell blood - and the BBC seems too tired and compromised to fight back.

It's interesting to work at the Beeb on days like "this"

I’m extremely glad Tim Davie’s out the door at the Beeb but the reason is completely fucking enraging

You might think 23 years at the beeb would give me an insight into Labour’s rationale on this. I’m afraid it doesn’t. Just file it in the increasingly massive pile of “what the fuck are they doing, the stupid, breathtakingly naive bastards.”

The attention the Tory party in the media and in the Commons are giving to this story is a reflection of just how far off the deep-end both have gone in recent times. Sure, they have a long-term vested interest in trying to undermine faith in the Beeb. But this is such a non-issue for most voters.

I don’t see any reason to defend the Beeb from their erstwhile allies, who are now attacking it. If you slam your dick in a car door, it’s going to hurt: the end. So it is with encouraging and pandering to wingnut cranks: you have richly earned the punishment you brought upon yourself.
The Sunday Telegraph featuring 'left-wing' Sonia Sodha.

Sodha currently writes for The Times, or was until the end of October.

You caught the beep unaware, decided to take a photo of the beeb.

But beep is smarter than you. Beeb will throw out a last second awesome pose and hack your camera with glittery backgrounds!

As Scots that the BBC is inherently bias towards the SNP & the Indy movement in general. We have suffered from their pro Westminster Propaganda for years. Back in 2013, A year before our IndyRef Whitehall mobilised the Beeb to rally against us with lies, Pure unadulterated lies.
Did heads roll? No.

The poor old Beeb has a real problem understating that reporting facts isn’t a failure of impartiality. That said, they cocked up royally with this edit.
November 9, 2025 at 9:47 PM
Alex, just on the news. Trump has sent a letter to the Beeb threatening to sue?
Wtf
November 10, 2025 at 1:42 PM
For me, what the beeb got wrong was the lengthy silence following the leak. For a broadcaster, their communication strategy sucks.
November 10, 2025 at 9:32 AM
You are the perfect candidate Ratty: principled, upstanding, beyond corruption, and committed to honesty and transparency - just what the Beeb needs.

That was fun. Eurovision aside, feels like years since we had event telly we all watched together. Beeb on an absolute winner there.

Lib Dem boss Ed Davey called on Starmer to defend the BBC after Trump called it a "propaganda machine".

He said it was “the world’s number 1 news source”, and that the Beeb belongs to the nation, urging leaders of all UK parties to tell King Donald the Mad to fuck off (sorry, paraphrasing, a bit).
November 9, 2025 at 10:35 PM
Can't the Beeb just offer to play his Jan 6th speech in full. It still incriminates him.
November 10, 2025 at 4:20 PM
My 2 cents: The Trump docu screwup is just one small part of a big story. There are near-daily disputes over the BBC's Israel/Gaza coverage; equally frequent attacks from BBC rivals; and the looming license fee review. When you run the Beeb, the pressure is relentless; the job can feel thankless.

Here's (currently) the last of all my now-colored beeb pieces.

It's tiring work having so many "pets", so I figured out a better way to haul them around... Even takes care of their needs in the process! Who cares if one or two of em pop~

Oh FFS. Grow a pair Beeb. Tell Trump to fuck off.

BBC Radio 4's Today programme decides it's time to spend time with individual MPs in their constituencies. Who is the obvious one to start with? Of course, Reform UK's Lee Anderson, talking about "real men's jobs". Let's face it, the Beeb seems to be in thrall to the Turquoise Tories.
