It's definitely messier, which doesn't help, and is clearly meant to be a complimentary piece to Neo's cassock. Maybe I'm just vibing because Carrie Anne Moss can carry off literally anything.

It's 106 miles to Fossanova, we have a full tank of gas, half a packet of communion wafers, it's dark and I'm wearing a cassock... HIT IT!

In what sense is Tommy Robinson a genuine Christian? None that I can see | Ravi Holy
The extremist, who is said to have converted in prison, is now planning a mass carol service. But look at his words and deeds: hardly Saint Tommy, is it, says vicar and stand-up comedian Ravi Holy

For the first time ever, the most famous American in the world is not the president — it’s the pope.
In a society that often equates American influence with might or money, now our foremost representative on the global stage is a humble man in a white cassock, preaching love, justice, and mercy.

I thought you only wore cassock and surplice

I get you. I always vest for Celebrating the Eucharist in Cassock+Amice+Alb… which confuses and confounds many who observe it. These days I also have my own amice. When I was at an AC parish we had stacks of amices rolled neatly and wore fresh ones every Mass. sigh.

Friends, I lost my amice last week, and have been forced to wear a cassock-alb until I get a new one delivered. I swear it has disrupted my entire vibe. (This is a very niche post)

For the first time ever, the most famous American in the world is not the president or a Hollywood icon or tech billionaire—it’s the pope.

In a society that often equates American influence with might or money, now our foremost representative on the global stage is a humble man in a white cassock.

Somehow, I managed to not see much of his work until relatively recently. He's great. The image of him in a cassock and fascia in the latest Rian Johnson movie tickled me.
Happy 60th birthday to Jeffrey Wright!

The first horseless carriage bought in British North America was bought in 1866 in Prince Edward Island by Georges-Antoine Belcourt, the parish priest of North Rustico who used it in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day parade. By 1908, there were only seven cars on the island.

Riding a priest in his cassock, rosary beads wrapped around his throat, his hands together & bound in prayer.

"You said I needed to strengthen my relationship with the Lord, Father. I dont think Ive ever felt more close to Him than I do right now. Cry out his name with me."

Seminary formals hated when we would wear a short coat over cassock, but it's a good look

Feels like -6F better not wear shorts. Don’t want the wind whistling up your cassock so to speak.

My Watts cassock has acquired that mouldy green patina which is a mark of distinction, & also evidence that I "pre-aged" it in the washing machine during the first lockdown rather than patiently waiting until the dry-cleaners were open again. Any black clerical garment should go green eventually.

I know a few clergy for whom this could be a bio statement, not just their cassock colour: “absorbs 99.87 percent of all light that dares to illuminate its surface” 🤣

Do you think Watts would make a cassock in it?

I mean the crassest possible example, but… cassock chapter!

I’m not religious but pope leo has a little smirk that makes me want to rip his cassock off

There exists a photograph of Pope Francis examining Brother Guy's MIT ring.

The moment was captured by one of the hard-working photographers from L'OSSERVATORE ROMANO.

Rumor-mongers began whispering that the Holy Father was kissing Guy's ring. This was NOT the case.

I've pointed out supporting massive transphobes is bad on a Sunday morning before processing in to sing Eucharist!

(New, young choir member liked the lining of my me-made cassock, asked "is it griffins as in Gryffindor"... had to explain that "we do not support JKR in this house, because evil).
