I beat Wiegraf first try.

Beat *that* series of fights in FFT:TIC. Took Wiegraf down w/classic Tailwind/Chant strats. The next fight ended on my dual-wielding monk's first turn after he decked one of the assassin ladies so hard the boss ended the fight then and there.
Also more PSO and Tales of Graces f co-op w/the Missus.

Only took another 2 hours of grinding to brute force Wiegraf. This really does suffer from the same issue as Metaphor in giving you a rich engine of classes and abilities to play with only to gate you with scenarios that require ultra-specific theory crafting.

you know how in early pokemon games when the elite four was actually difficult and sometimes you just had to spend the battle stalling with potions and status moves until you could eventually get a hit in once in a while? that was how the solo wiegraf fight was for me

Wiegraf isn't aware of the stone's power, it's given to him by the already-possessed Folmarv and he gives into it in a moment of revenge-seeking. Elmdore had the Gemini stone on him when he died and again it's not particularly clear that he knew anything about the stone's nature.

wiegraf yeah, but i’d put the castle roof as #1 just because of how dumb it is and the others on this list i don’t think are thaaat hard but dorter rules as a chapter 1 test to really wrap your head around how you have to play a battle that’s heavily stacked against you plus the music is just great
