I use "project title, document type, YYYYMMDD" plus initials of author at the end if working on a collaborative project.

So for example "Spectrum screenplay 20250915 AT".

Genuinely believe that's the best way to name files based on my experience.

Screenwriters, what are your file naming conventions?

Depending on the needs of the production, I usually bounce between version numbers (v1, v2.5, v3.2.4.111, etc) or dates (Cheers ep706 060925).

What I never ever ever write is "final".

Mostly text as an image. The title says "Every Designer In This World" and then there are six file icons, with names suggesting that each was supposed to be the "final" version but then there were more changes.

Weirdly also one of the best soulslikes? Same psychological feeling, except the combat is walking, the bosses are tricky climbs, and the souls are your pride. (Not an unfair or even unintended comparison either imo, given the world design and the bonfire checkpoints)

BABY STEPS is a top 10 game for me, I think. It's so funny and so well-designed and so thematically rich, at once beautiful and troll-like. Bennett Foddy's thoughtful design and sick sense of humour writ large as the greatest damn walking simulator ever.

I once found myself doing a rough calculation of the volume (by weight) of flies that could fit in a standard city council organics bin within a few minutes of starting a dating app conversation.
