It is the only sport where patience is a weapon, and panic the surest death. You cannot simply run out the clock in baseball; you must face it, pitch by terrifying pitch, until it finally releases you.

In 11 years of being in DC, including several years of being a daily metro commuter, I have never had a problem on any metro train or bus. They are lying, they know they're lying, and the target is an audience that can't tell the difference and never will be able to.

US DOT is putting another transit project on hold—the Red Line Extension in Chicago—because the transit authority pursued Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals as part of the project, which the DOT claims are discriminatory.

The thing is, US DOT & Congress put DBE in place.
