Donald Trump and Peter Hegseth have now murdered 57 human beings on their boats in the Caribbean and the Pacific.

That means they've passed Seattle's "Green River Killer" (49) to become the most lethal serial killers in American history

Where is The Hague?

they'll do anything to avoid living in the hell they've built for us
I live 100ft away from a retired House rep in his 80s who I see at least monthly at our neighborhood social; he has said to me almost verbatim what Duncan said here. Older members are terrified of walking away from the 20-person 24/7 support network you can't even get in a high end nursing home.
I keep saying this but the reason members of congress want to stay in office until they die is they can't buy that kind of elder care anywhere else, even if they are rich

This is horrifying and it also feels like the inevitable conclusion of any homelessness policy that begins and ends with “break up encampments and make people invisible”.
Under Trump, the draconian future of homelessness policy is coming into focus: mass internment. Utah is building a 16-acre site to detain up to 1,300 homeless people inside locked "accountability centers." This is profoundly alarming.

One thing that strikes me about the the way that AI boosters keep talking about how AI gives us an “opportunity“ to talk to students about fact-checking and sourcing as though we don’t have plenty of opportunities and enough of a challenge teaching students research and media literacy.

We are in a timeline in which People Magazine is publishing legit hard-hitting news headlines while CBS and CNN publicly humiliate themselves.

I don’t like this timeline. But I’m loving People Magazine right now.
i read that as the bus schedules were also fucked lol

The depth of the shame of a country this wealthy and abundant allowing its people to go hungry is impossible to measure. The fact that a handful of people could fix this by paying their fair share of taxes while still remaining obscenely wealthy makes it even worse.

KOSA is real bad. It will be used by the current admin for mass censorship.
🚨‼️As of yesterday KOSA is at 64 cosponsors with @vanhollen.senate.gov + @kim.senate.gov - who claim to support LGTBQ+ rights but are clearly okay with supporting legislation that’ll censor us off the internet- newly signed on.

You know what to do: www.stopkosa.com

If SNAP benefits are halted next month, it will mark the first time in history the program has not been funded during any government shutdown.

The food stamp program was first established during the Great Depression in the 1930s under President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

It's long past time for state and federal authorities alike to put an end to Stephen Miller's jerkoff fantasy of masked thugs kidnapping people of color off the street with impunity.

Yes, there are Americans who want this. But they are a woefully small minority. Why are we still letting it happen?
