2. Was disarmed when they shot him while he was face down

KARL: He was an ICU use who worked for the VA and there's no evidence he brandished the gun whatsoever

BESSENT: But he brought a gun

KARL: I mean, we do have a Second Amendment

BESSENT: I've been to a protest -- guess what? I didn't bring a gun. I brought a billboard

Alex Pretti was already restrained when federal agents shot and killed him in Minneapolis, a New York Times analysis of video shows. The footage contradicts the Department of Homeland Security’s account of the shooting.
Timeline: How the Shooting of Alex Jeffrey Pretti Unfolded
A moment-by-moment analysis of video from the scene shows that Mr. Pretti was already restrained when fatal shots were fired, which appears to contradict the federal government’s account of the event.

The higher education playbook - pretextual harassment and then offer a Mafia-style "deal" to make it stop
If you want proof that Trump is going to try to rig the elections, here it is:

In a letter to Gov. Tim Walz Saturday, Bondi claimed that Walz could “restore the rule of law” by complying with a list of demands, including giving the Department of Justice (DOJ) the state’s voter registration records.
AG Bondi demands access to Minnesota voter rolls after fatal Border Patrol shooting
Her demand came as Minneapolis was reeling from a second fatal shooting by a federal agent this month.

Congressional Republicans gave Trump a slush fund for ICE and CBP in the "Big Beautiful Bill." Tens of billions of dollars that is still usable even during a shutdown.

Democrats must make rescinding that money the price of any future govt funding, as Republicans did with IRS money from the IRA.

Per video, the first execution shot was less than second after they removed Alex Pretti’s holstered handgun, directly into his back at very short range.
Indeed.
He was blinded by pepper spray, and subdued by an entire goon squad.
His gun was then removed from his holster by one of the goons.
And he was then summarily executed.

That would be the World Health Organization, which has helped save millions of lives over time (and which the U.S. used to help lead). Pulling out = rump’s harmful zero-sum thinking in action.

Good. If the Republican majority really wants secret police invading US cities and killing innocent Americans, they can pass it themselves. Democrats can’t stop this while the GOP controls the White House and both houses of Congress, but Dems can at least refuse to validate it.

Now hold that line.
🚨 SCHUMER just now: “Senate Democrats will not provide the votes to proceed to the appropriations bill if the DHS funding bill is included.”

We are observers, not protestors. We show up to document and film the atrocities ICE is committing. Using 5 year olds as bait. Kidnapping senior citizens. Breaking down doors without warrants. Murdering poets and nurses. Media has all of that information because *observers* were there to document it

including like 100 rabbis

"Thou shalt not murder" is also a thing.
Religion note: those who have been protesting DHS/ICE in the streets — those Sec. Hegseth labels “lunatics” here — have included hundreds of clergy *just this week.* religionnews.com/2026/01/23/i...

To those blaming Walz for not mobilizing the Guard, he did that six days ago. I have to say it's disturbing to see people angry at Walz instead of the government agents that just executed a man. As though we should all be experts about what to do when a secret police force invades an American city.

It’s CONGRESS that can stop ICE and CBP deployment to MN. The Dems (and any responsible Rs?) should introduce legislation and agitate for a vote: “No federal funds may be used for further activities of ICE or CBP in the state of Minnesota, except for their prompt withdrawal.”
