This becomes extra important with the gutting of the VRA. Again, expanding the House and making apportionment based on population density (higher density=multimember district) would soften that blow. Also House expansion just requires simple majorities and not a Constitutional amendment.
I’m saying that House expansion has to be a top 5 priority on the solution list
We're all seeing this, right? It's not just me?

Well done, everyone!!!! Police included. Not kidding, this is how giant peaceful protests should be

Zero arrests by NYPD is actually astounding to me
Three burly, bearded good ol' boys rolled up to our protest and I was pleasantly surprised to see they were wearing Fuck ICE shirts.
Was not prepared for the number of Ford F-150s honking in solidarity ✊ w No Kings marchers today. Never assume you know someone’s politics.

BREAKING: Protestors are already flooding the streets in deep Conservative territory in Florida for No Kings Day. No wonder Trump tried to stop this.

I learned something new today.

Trump: "We attacked a submarine. That was a drug-carrying submarine built specifically for the transportation of massive amounts of drugs. Just so you understand. This was not an innocent group of people. I don't know too many people that have submarines."

When you're young you manufacture drama out of boredom, when you're old you can move into a cave in the side of a hill and the drama will find you there
It's short for operational security. Making it harder for the feds to identify you and the folks you're with.
This pie was delicious anyway, but making it with sweet potatoes out of our own garden elevated things in some mysterious way.

Like I've been saying, why should reporters bother treating Johnson like the Speaker of the House when he's effectively disbanded the House.
It's official: Speaker Johnson just cancelled all votes in the House next week.

The next scheduled voting day is 10/27; the last time the House was in session was 9/19.
Cops gonna cop.
An ICE agent, who is being arrested for drunk driving and nearly killing his little kids & others, tries to stop the arrest by racially profiling the officers arresting him. Amazing to watch the courtesy given to him as he is belligerent and uncooperative
Meanwhile Mike Johnson is insisting that Republicans have restored your freedom of speech. Fuckers.
So much freedom under Republicans.
It's crazy what a difference it makes. Our local goth bar has a concrete dance floor painted with a ouija board and it's fine, but nothing beats the slipperiness of wood.

This is good reporting on the disaster in Alaska if you're looking for a reliable summary.

This is a bigger disaster than I think most are realizing. 1500 people have been displaced by the flooding with an exceptionally complicated response and recovery.
