Got so sucked in to BL dramas I totally missed the rapture drama. The boy drama brain rot is real
I didn't know that I would be so enamored with talking mammoths but Mars House by Natasha Pulley really caught my heart (for a lot of reasons, but especially the mammoths)
Oh no. I fear I need this book...
Welp, we made it girls
I really love @thestorygraph.com because, Yes, I do want to organize a virtual shelf of favorite reads.

The book is good, folks. Absolutely the most human-centered and even intermittently uplifting way of writing about a legitimate cultural scourge imaginable. Absolutely as fun to read as it is infuriating. You should get it.
I'm very excited that BAD COMPANY entered its third printing this week! You'd better buy it now before you're relegated to a copy from the fourth printing...

If you're mad about #joanns and want to know more, check out Bad Company by Megan Greenwell. It's a good look at private equity and how it affects the everyday person, with some hope for how communities can band together and reclaim what private equity ruined.
So far I'm really enjoying it!
This book sounds fascinating. The Bear meets Attack on Titan? A food based epic fantasy? Like I gotta read it right?
Seven Recipes for Revolution by @ryanprose.bsky.social is out now and looks stunning!

"The Bear meets Attack on Titan", as a lowly butcher uses his culinary skills to dramatic effect in a world where magic is a food-based system run by the elite.

Revolution, amazing action & very original!

It's me

I am counting

BRING ME ALL THE PUMPKINS
Only 100 days until Halloween, but who's counting?
Really had a blast with this one. A rich world, stunning characters, and a near impossible treasure hunt. I love when technology and magic mix. Plus all these characters have rich backstories. Kept me hooked all the way through and was so fun to read. #sffbooks

Everyone, no matter where they live, what they look like, or who they love, deserves to see themselves and their experiences in books—in bookshops, schools, & libraries.

Reading helps us understand ourselves, our world, & one another.

THIS SATURDAY, I am teaming up with @thistle-nightshade.bsky.social for our first SUMMER READING SHINDIG!! This event is for kids, tweens, and teens, and is absolutely free!

Several local authors will be there, and I'm lucky enough to be featured with THE GLADE! Come hang from 10-1 on Saturday!!
Current reading option:

Americanah: two lovers reunite in Nigeria after living abroad

Country of Under: a story of inbetweens (genders, citizenship/immigrant, outsider/insider)

Prince Without Sorrow: fantasy inspired by Ancient India with witches, political intrigue, queer characters, and romance
Got a new #sticker for the water bottle #supportyourlocalbookdealer

In addition to being a lover if reading, I am also one of the owners of @thistle-nightshade.bsky.social and I love being the local book dealer people come to!

Sorry can't talk rn, I'm busy with my #gayvampires
I love reading in the afternoons at Thistle & Nightshade because I can curl up & sunbathe. Today's book is American War by Omar El Akkad. He flips current world power dynamics on their head and melds them with already existing divisions in the US to create the Second American Civil War. #americanwar

I finished a book. The first of this year. In 2025 I took my pea sized, phone-rotted, attention spanless brain and finished a bloody book. I'm unstoppable.
I made a lil list of books for pride month: here are some of my faves I have read over the years

Outdrawn by Deanna Gray 🌶
Locked Tomb Series by Tamsyn Muir
Make Room For Love by Darcy Liao 🌶
Compound Fracture by Andrew Joseph White
