The ACA isn't just "health care for people who don't have a conventional employer." It also disallows something that was incredibly common 20 years ago, which I fear is getting lost to generational memory: insurance companies could deny you health care for essentially any previous health problem.
I'm dubious about Amazon's commitment to keeping pre-existing conditions a thing of the past.

Occasionally I like to post something serious about writing, and here's one of those times.

Prose writers: Read it out loud.

Comic writers: Read the dialogue out loud.

BCS is one of the most valuable magazines out there.
BCS Patreon has fallen below the monthly amount we need to pay our authors a pro rate and our First Readers a worthy honorarium ($125/mo). Sometimes folks need to lower or pause their support; we understand. But less than 1% of BCS readership donates or supports. www.patreon.com/beneath_ceas... 1/3

Honestly, people calling creators the "petite bourgeoisie" makes me want to snap.

We're working folk. And we work really hard. For next to nothing.

We're not lounging around eating bonbons. We're trying to figure out how we're going to be able to pay rent next month.

Lots of this about. Any contact purportedly from a book club should be carefully checked out, because these days there’s a high likelihood it’s an impersonation scam.
Got one of these recently from a slopbot claiming to be the Singapore Silent Book Club—which is a real thing that exists, so I checked with the organizer of the actual club, partly just to be entirely certain and also to give them a heads up that this shit is happening using their name.
Authors beware, these AI scambotwhatevers are now plugging Silent Book Clubs and other book club things to get you interested, heads up.

You're never going to be younger than you are now.

Stop being afraid to want things.

You should want things.

How do you start? Write down what you want.

Look at that list when you wake up.

Look at it again midday.

Look at it once more before you go to sleep at night.

Put it into action.
