Over and over the US inflicts obscene violence against the global South, in flagrant violation of international law, to maintain the conditions for capital accumulation for its decadent billionaire class. It's disgusting and intolerable. We cannot continue to accept this.

Not that it wasn’t clear before, but launching a major war out of the blue with zero real effort to build public support and absolutely no approval from Congress demonstrates how much Trump perceives himself as a pure dictator

The only reasonable position is zero tolerance: the AI industry must end sooner rather than later. It is culturally, socially, environmentally, and economically destructive, and all the Silicon Valley marketing in the world isn't going to make it otherwise.

@americanair.bsky.social charging 24 DOLLARS for 2 hours of wifi for each computer is just obscene. Pure price gouging and greed.

In this economy? What a terrible company, man.

Folks, two things can true at the same time.

These 2 National Guard members should not have been shot, and it's a disgusting act of violence. And, Trump + Miller have deliberately deployed them to incite division { violence. That's part of Miller's plan. They have no reason to be in our cities.
National Guard members should never have been deployed in Washington, DC.

I'm an "A.i." abolitionist.

No consumer-facing LLMs or generative "A.i." in anything.

Sure, machine learning in science and a few other limited applications is fine.

But consumer-facing LLMs and generative "A.i." that are based on theft, push disinfo, and can be manipulated by billionaires?

No.

Corporate media is part of the establishment. It's beyond corrupt. Very good reporters and journalists are stuck within its dying edifice, but it's time to cleanse it with fire.

This morning I was filling up my tires with air at a gas station, a lady told me that the reason my tires are always wearing out is because of the debris that illegal aliens throw out of their car windows. This really happened. I said that was the craziest thing I ever heard, she called me a Karen.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

Shame on all of the democratic senators who caved. And shame on Schumer for not keeping them in line. There is no excuse. We are out here making calls, boycotting and marching in the streets. Our representatives do not deserve us, and we certainly deserve better. Shame them all!

Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.

A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.

When will party leadership learn this lesson?

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

Just in general. For everything. If capitalism is the altar we worship at, nothing will tip the scales other than willingness to not buy, sell at loss, destroy, boycott & strike.

Other action matters too. Leadership matters. Protest matters. But it’s way less effective without financial retaliation

Democrats need to propose concrete economic policies, not just spew vague platitudes: aggressively progressive tax schedule ala post WW II, living minimum wage ($25 hr?), universal health care. Own it! Yes, redistribute wealth!

Don't forget that Zohran Mamdani spent his entire campaign standing proudly beside the trans community. He went to trans rights rallies just to show support. He proudly waved trans rights flags without hesitation. He refused to back down in support of trans rights. That makes me happy.

Schumer had a chance to repudiate the gutter racism and Islamophobia of Cuomo's campaign and he just fucking didn't. And that is disqualifying. He should be ashamed and we the voters should make sure he feels that shame.
Reporter: Today is election day in New York City. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: Look, I voted. And I look forward to working with the next mayor to help New York City.
