Ever think some of the NYT staffers write something like this, print it out, stick it onto the cubicle or outside the office of one of Those coworkers, and just glare at them for a minute?
“LOOK AT WHAT YOU JUST MADE ME DO!” but with just eyebrows?

4 years ago, I figured Fiona Ma was my candidate. That she stepped aside and is supporting Yee got me to give Yee a second look, and I like what I see so far.

Pepe’s artist must be genuinely thrilled by this.
Iirc, he was never happy his drawing was associated with asshole-internet.

Good point.
But if what I’m saying really were to happen, which I of course don’t actually think will, there would be no point to reserving Justices in that way, so they could adjust the rules accordingly.
But, as I said, good point.
New step 1: change THAT. Step 2: confirm everyone + Bidens dog.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
Well that wouldn’t even require a congressional majority, just a D president, so I think that’s tangential to what I was saying. Important, yes, but it can happen on its own timeline.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
Sure, but as a practical matter that’ll need to be step 4 or 5, just getting the votes together for the impeachments.
This could be step 1 on day 1.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
If we have a majority in the senate, quickest way is to just renominate all article 3 judges as Supreme Court justices. The GOP kindly has changed the debate rules to allow batch confirmations with a simple majority, so just do them all day 1 (except the obvious assholes like Kascmaryk).

We’d insist on writing that down and getting a voucher.

Or that they won’t manifest just to spite you specifically.

Just because you can’t or don’t see them, it doesn’t mean they aren’t real.

If you are a Christian and believe the Christian Nationalists are sullying your reputation by association, keep praying. Keeping gathering in your congregations. No one will tell you to stop.

But we need to you to be an answer to people's prayers, and we need it now, and now, and now.

Nor I as a Catholic. It’s directly heretical to what I was taught, in fact.
But others got other lessons. They sincerely claim the same savior as me.

Thank you also for posting that SS of his trans specific actions.
The trans day of remembrance isn’t much, but it’s not nothing, especially considering the “They/Them” attacks against Harris.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
Specifically, I’d not hold his prior peacemaking efforts with Trump against him. What we see now is probably more of what we’ll get if he’s in the White House.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
Somewhat, but also relevant to your claim. His actions prior to Nov 2024 were done by a different person. We have to evaluate his actions as a presidential candidate within the timeline of when he was really acting as one.
That goes both ways of course. He’s improved in some areas since then too.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
Oh then yeah. Not applicable.
It may still cause him fundraising problems. Crypto bros will still be in the tank for him, but the NIMBYists might grow a conscious if he goes too anti trans.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
What legislation has he signed that protects trans people since the election last year?
That’s when his presidential run really started and his priorities shifted.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
Presidential primary season, I think they mean.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
I’m not proposing a specific strategy. That’s for their union and the workers themselves to do, as they know their options best.
But were I one, I wouldn’t eliminate illegal options just because of legality. This announcement makes it clear our government isn’t going to.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
I want these people to try and save *themselves*.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
Who is asking them to?
If Mike and Russel follow through on their threat and try to not pay fed workers, even if the fed workforce sues and gets their pay back, all these people might wind up homeless because they stayed loyal to a job that stabbed them in the back.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
Not legally, no. But aren’t they already having workforce shortages? If, say, 20% of the current workforce called off for a week or more, can they really afford to fire that many?
Maybe as many as 10%, sure, but I doubt they could carry on with more than that.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
I disagree.
My experience as being visibly brown in this country does not lead me to believe there is strong enough rejection of the idea of profiling for that.
And I don’t have it NEARLY as bad as anyone visibly Black.
b1uecruz.bsky.social
Perfectly understandable reaction, but in this case I don’t even think they were joking at all. They were simply stating the same fact you were, the poorer you are, the more you *have* to spend just to survive.
It may have looked like a “welfare queen” joke, but I don’t think they were going there.
