Musk throwing up his hands and going "Aw shucks, I guess I failed to reign in Big Government" was a major PR win. Media people talk about DOGE as a failure, but it was very effective at committing a ton of corrupt acts and hurting people they want to make suffer.

I recently learned that (prior to the newest gen) every spider-like pokemon was designed to have fewer than 8 legs. There might be some consideration for cluttered designs, but the claimed reason was to not trigger arachnophobia.
And I wonder: does that work? Do 6-leg 'spiders' not spook people?

That was my exact thought! "They're just saying words!"

He needed a sentence to justify fighting against the left while the right goes full fascist, so he opened a thesaurus to 'authoritarianism' and thought "Ah yes, 'totalitarianism'. *That's* what anti-racist protests lead to."

I'm really curious about the 'path of a new kind of totalitarianism' that we were on after Floyd's murder. What totalitarian gov't did he foresee growing out of that?

I'm not familiar with any totalitarian states defined by the people's ability to hold cops accountable for their crimes.
